The treatment for dark circles (also called eye circles) has been a recurrent topic of research and discussion. Although it is not a disease, is an aesthetic factor that interferes in self-esteem of most population. There are basically three causes for the appearance of dark circles: vascular dilatation and venous stasis; pigment, the accumulation of melanin; deep “pockets” around eyes, either by the genetic or acquired. Proper treatment will depend on the cause.
The Leger Clinic has the best options for treatment of dark circles, the results are great:
Carboxitherapy – an application of medicinal carbon gas, directly into the part of the body that needs to be treated. Provides vasodilatation, stimulates system circulation and improvement of blood flow and supply of nutrients. Thus it causes the reduction of edema, improves venous return and decreases venous stasis. The process is very simple and lasts about 10 minutes. Another very important effect is the body's response to the "detachment” of the skin caused by gas. The body responds by forming extra collagen, providing an improvement in sagging and skin thickness.
Pulsed Light - the equipment of pulsed light is used in medicine for treatment of spots and facial rejuvenation by acting as a stimulator of collagen and elastin. Its mechanism is based on a ray of light that has a specific wavelength to penetrate skin and to promote a "break" of the skin pigment into small particles. These particles are absorbed and naturally eliminated by the body. The pulsed light also provides a thermal stimulus on hypodermis, which increases collagen and elastin levels, resulting in a healthier and tightness tissue.
Cosmetic - there are several drugs used to treat dark circles in order to improve circulation and clear the skin marks.
In Leger clinic each patient is first examined and oriented to use a specifically cream for each particular case. The results of the treatments are medium and long term.
Stimulator of collagen Filling
- With biocompatible materials --
In many cases, the appearance of dark circles is not due to venous stasis or stains for melanin pigment, but as a result of a "shadow" caused by depression in the region. Small infraorbital depressions can be easily filled with a wide range of biocompatible materials that may be permanent or absorbable.
In Leger clinic, facial and body fillers are performed by Dr. Roberto Chacur, doctor, post-graduate in medicine and aesthetics, affiliated with the Brazilian Council of Medicine.
The Leger Clinic staff is composed of plastic surgeons affiliated with the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgeons (BSPS).
