Treatment of varicose veins.
Sclerotherapy is the technique used for treatment of small/micro varicose veins or blood vessels. It consists in the injection of sclerosing substances that expels the blood to normal veins and clogs veins that are being treated. Although these injections need to be repeated in some veins, sclerotherapy is very effective if performed by experienced physicians.
First, you need a medical evaluation, which can be done directly at our clinic in Porto Alegre. After the evaluation, doctor chooses the best substance to use in sclerotherapy and indicates the quantity of applications needed. Usually 4-5 sessions are enough for a significant result. Care after the procedure, such as use of elastic stockings and rest are advisable.
