How does laser remove tattoos?
Currently, Leger clinic has equipment for laser hair removal, removal of stains and tattoos and facial rejuvenation. We use diode laser (light sheer), yag laser (great for tattoos) and pulsed light. All equipment must register with the National Agency for Sanitary Surveillance.
The laser produces short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly by the upper layers of skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This laser energy causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles which are then removed by the immune system. The researchers found that the wavelengths of light can be used for this purpose and which laser power removes the ink of the tattoo (if you're wondering if the laser can also removing the natural pigment of the skin, do not worry, the laser selects the tattoo pigment without damaging the surrounding skin).
The darker, the better the chance of the tattoo is removed with absolute success. There are cases where the tattoo disappears completely. It needs at least six sessions, once a month or according to the rate of healing of skin. Usually the removal does not hurt, but if the patient is very sensitive to pain, a topical anesthetic can be applied on the local half hour before the procedure. Before performing this procedure, must be a good evaluation of the case, to check the size and colors of the tattoo. The result, in any case, also depends on the reaction of each individual.
Schedule an evaluation and come to do this painful and quick procedure in our clinic.
