Along time, muscle contracts in so many times that they hypertrophies and increases the tonicity (tonus is a contraction degree that stays even when the muscles are rested). It happens as id the expression muscles were submitted by a intense fitness program. The hypertrophy causes furrows and wrinkles that stays as a marked form in the place of the expression muscle even when its relaxed, not contracting the muscle. Those furrows and wrinkles stay because the effect of the muscle hypertrophy and tonus. As long time pass by, skin can break and wrinkles get more marked and accentuated. Sunlight causes the photo aging and it removes the elasticity of the skin and the whole process increases giving to the face skin an aged aspect.
The Botulinum Toxin, a substance produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum, has a potent action, but if it is used in small doses, it doesn't make any badly effect, and it can make the aspects of facial aging softer. The dose used for aesthetic purpose is from 25 to 50 units. Only doses over 300 units can cause damage to human body. The small amount used with aesthetic purposes obtains the effects without damaging the human health.
The forehead wrinkles, the furrow between the brows and the famous Crow’s feet can be removed with this method. Other areas can be treated as well. The technique consists in injecting Botox in the muscle in which hypertrophy and tonus caused wrinkles. Then, it causes a temporary paralysis (obviously, in the unnecessary muscles), exterminating the lightest wrinkles and reducing the deepest ones.
